Abstract

My work experience with Dhaka Bank PLC focused on AML and CFT through economic crime prevention and regulatory compliance at the bank. I monitored STRs and SARs while conducting investigations into money laundering while analyzing financial crime reports as part of my duties which improved my knowledge of banking compliance practices alongside risk management principles. Chapter 1 summarizes my internship in the AML and CFT department, where I analyzed the transaction, prepared the report and investigate suspicious accounts. I developed skills in accordance and AML monitoring systems, faced challenges with complex processes and large data versions. The recommendations include better training and advice. The chapter 2 provides detailed information on Dhaka Bank PLC including its financial achievements along with risk management solutions and market competition analysis. The report demonstrates the bank’s strong financial liquidity position and profitable elements while identifying present market growth possibilities. The analysis includes evaluations of internal and external factors based on SWOT assessments through which the bank's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats can be identified. The research shows that the bank maintains stability and has potential growth opportunities. Chapter 3 finds out the key challenges in the bank's Anti money laundering and Combating the financial crime department (AML & CFT), including frequent regulatory changes, poor IT infrastructure, and resource restrictions.
