Abstract
The report explains why employee retention is becoming a challenge in Bangladesh’s FMCG sector and how political and economic situations play a role in this. The study was able to identify main problems like job insecurity, financial hardship and a fall in morale—found most often among the younger, less skilled workers—with the help of qualitative interviews with HR experts. The results show that flexible schedules, mental health supports and open conversations, along with helping workers grow and be involved, help keep employees. Based on the data collected, we organized the findings into three themes: struggles from the outside, how HR has adapted and strategies for holding onto their workforce. This report includes specific tips for FMCG companies to help them resist future challenges. The research provides helpful guidance for HR leaders who hope to reduce staff turnover and retain their employees amid national challenges.
