Abstract
This report consists of BRAC Bank’s small loan program and how the small loans help women entrepreneurs to excel in their careers. When you think about the social barriers that women face when they want to start their own business, the small loan plan offers a good way to deal with these problems by providing specialized financial services. The program helps women who want to grow and expand their businesses by giving them shorter loan terms, lower down payments, and lower interest rates. This gives more women, especially those who live in rural or underprivileged areas, access to chances.
The research highlights key issues in the women entrepreneurship in Bangladesh such as the socio-economic structures straddled by BRAC Bank loan products, the influence the loans exudes on womens’ businesses’ potential, and how the loans assist in circumventing the financial barriers. But it also looks at the broad impacts that include enhancing economic self sufficiency, increasing social status, and contributing to local economic development. Thus, women business owners in this campaign gain self-reliance and self-assurance and also break the conventional notions of gender roles while ensuring that they create employment in society.
These results show how important it is to connect financial inclusion programs to bigger goals for social development. They also show how important BRAC Bank is for empowering women as an important driver of economic growth.
