Abstract

The internship report is a narrative of my three months of internship at STS Global Education that is a global education consultancy firm based in London with active operation in Asia and Africa. With the idea of providing full service to international students, the company has a team of highly professional personnel who are deeply guided by integrity, and who believe in transparency. The purpose of the report is to examine the present HR, compliance, and talent development processes within STS Global Education in order to know the good and bad about it, and thereafter make some recommendations using some academic and some practical knowledge. The report is divided into three sections: an overview of the organization, internship activities, and a project-based analysis focused on HR compliance mechanisms and employee training programs. This report was prepared using both primary and secondary data. The primary data were obtained through my observations, the duties performed during the internship period, and interviews with my supervisors: Mrs. Nasima Munni, Team Leader, and Mr. Kassaf, Global Application Manager. The secondary data were gathered through the HR records of STS, the official website, and other related internal manuals. The results indicate that despite the fact that the company has a high level of compliance culture, some of the aspects, like formal reporting of training initiatives and efficient communication between the international offices, can be enhanced. Out of these findings, a number of practical recommendations have been suggested.
