Abstract
This report includes a comprehensive analysis of my internship at LafargeHolcim Bangladesh
Limited, in which I worked on financial analysis of the company’s performance, marketing
strategies of the company, and HR practices in the organization. The structure of the report is
divided into different sections that serve as the gateways that provide important insights on the
financial analysis of the company, the marketing analysis, opportunities and threats,
management analysis, and evaluation of efficiency of operations.
The first part of the paper aims at establishing the company history and the different kinds of
leadership. It then looks at its marketing approach, that is brand development and the
identification of the ideal client. Further, it reviews the accounting practices of the company,
discussing the basic concept, accounting cycle, and convenient ways of financial reporting.
Some key findings during this internship are cost structures, how the company is affected by
economic fluctuation, and LafargeHolcim Bangladesh Limited 's position within competition
from Heidelberg Cement and Premier Cement. The opportunity to build professional
experience in promoting HR operations, financial reports, and process optimization has existed
in LafargeHolcim Bangladesh Limited and contributed to my personal growth and the
company’s improvement. A review of the business's information systems and operational
management is included in another section, along with a competitive and industry analysis
using Porter's Five Forces and other frameworks. A summary of the internship's results,
difficulties encountered, and suggestions for future development round out the report.
My professional development has been greatly aided by the experience and practical
knowledge I have obtained from this internship. This report offers strategic insights that could
help the company in the future, in addition to reflecting on my accomplishments for the
organization.
