Abstract

This internship report presents the professional experience and research work conducted during my internship period at BRAC EPL Investment Limited (BEIL), as part of the completion of the Bachelor of Business Administration Program at BRAC University. My internship period was between November 2025 and February 2026 in the Investment & Strategy Department. The key responsibilities included preparing the morning daily news, updating the market insight, and maintaining marginable securities lists. The report will also contain more in-depth details about the specific organization, BEIL. The report also includes a project with the research titled “Understanding Seasonal Sectoral Performance and Liquidity Trends in Bangladesh.” The research tries to analyze whether there is any evidence of seasonal trends in the DSE. For this research, instead of using a return-based metric, which was a frequent occurrence in past studies, I used market capitalization as the metric for seasonality, which enabled me to further break down the market into seasonality, enabling me to find the seasonality of not just the whole market but on a sectoral level. Overall, the internship enhanced analytical, technical, and professional skills while providing valuable insights into investment banking operations and market behavior in Bangladesh.
